Having grown up in New York with a deep-rooted family tradition of music, Steve has studied at prestigious institutions such as Juilliard, Manhattan, and Eastman schools of music, and has played in numerous ensembles and jazz groups throughout his career.

The quartet has been a staple in the Chicago jazz scene for the past 33 years, known for their soulful performances and two critically acclaimed CDs: "Together Again" in 1994, and "Dedicated to You," in 2012. Their performance at the Chicago Jazz Festival in 2016 further solidified their reputation as one of the city's premier jazz ensembles.
