The LCSO’s 52nd season opener celebrates Latin-American music and the vibrant and colorful Mexican holiday Day of the Dead, which honors family members who have died. Led by Music Director Carolyn Watson and featuring guest soloist, guitarist Guido Sanchez-Portuguez playing Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez, this concert will also feature works by Mexican composers Gabriela Ortiz, Carlos Chávez, José Pablo Moncayo, and Arturo Márquez.
