### ESO Youth - August 2024 Beginners Orchestra

**Event Dates:**  
Monday, 12th August 2024 - Tuesday, 13th August 2024

**Event Times:**  
9:30 AM - 5:00 PM each day (Drop-offs available from 8:30 AM)

**Location:**  
Routh Hall, Bromsgrove School, Worcester Road, Bromsgrove B61 7DU

**Age Group:**  
6-14 years

**Skill Level:**  
Grade 0-3

**Instruments:**  
All orchestral instruments welcome, including recorder and saxophones. (No piano or guitar)

**Course Details:**  
- **Non-residential:** 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM each day
- **Cost:** £90 per student (includes hot lunch on both days)
- **Bursaries:** Available upon request. Please email esoyouth@eso.co.uk for more information.

**Course Activities:**
- Warm-up sessions to encourage good posture, breathing, listening, and communication.
- Full and sectional orchestral rehearsals.
- Complementary activities including singing and group improvisation/composition.
- The course concludes with a short informal concert showcasing the work done over the two days.

**Tutors and Staff:**
- 8-12 tutors/pastoral staff per course.
- All tutors are core members of the ESO and Enhanced DBS checked.
- Tutors bring their own ideas to inspire the children.

**COVID Protocols:**
- Regular hand washing and use of hand sanitiser will be encouraged.
