Music Director Jaap van Zweden and the NY Phil return to Guangzhou, China, to perform moving songs by the maestro’s great predecessor, with noted Mahlerian Thomas Hampson as soloist, along with a glistening work by Nina Shekhar and Brahms’s powerful and virtuosic Fourth Symphony.
