English Chamber Orchestra

We are pleased to perform at the Festival de Torroella de Montgrí this summer with pianist Elisabeth Leonskaja and conductor Marzena Diakun in a programme celebrating the Classical tradition.


The concert opens with Haydn’s Symphony No. 44, the dramatic and intensely expressive “Funeral” Symphony. Elisabeth Leonskaja then joins us for Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 12 in A major, a work of elegance, lyricism and charm that showcases the composer at his most inventive. The programme concludes with Schubert’s Symphony No. 5, a youthful masterpiece inspired by Mozart and Haydn, full of warmth, clarity and melodic beauty.


Bringing together three of the great composers of the Classical era, this programme highlights the artistry of one of today’s most distinguished pianists alongside the English Chamber Orchestra in the beautiful surroundings of the Costa Brava.

Continuing our summer tour of Spain, we perform at the Santander International Festival alongside pianist Elisabeth Leonskaja and conductor Marzena Diakun in a programme of Haydn, Mozart and Schubert.

Haydn’s Symphony No. 44, the dramatic and compelling “Funeral” Symphony, opens the concert before Elisabeth Leonskaja joins us for Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 12 in A major. Combining elegance, lyricism and wit, the concerto remains one of the composer’s most engaging works for piano and orchestra.

Annemarie is one of the bright young stars of the brass world and has recently been appointed principal horn of the LPO. She has won joint first prize at the Gianni Bergamo Classic Music Award in 2021, and performed Mozart’s Horn Concerto No. 4 with the Munich Chamber Orchestra at the ARD International Music Competition.
