The season kicks off with a visit from the American conductor star Roderick Cox. With 2022 Soloist Prize winner Alva Holm as soloist in Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor, an intense late summer concert is on offer. We are thrown straight into the drama with Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's Ballad in A minor, an orchestral gem that captures the depth and sensitivity of romance.
