A concert that explores the transition between two great musical eras. Rachmaninoff's final masterpiece, Symphonic Dances, is like a swan song over Romanticism as he began to approach the end of his musical journey. In Hanna Kendall's The Spark Catchers, we meet the story of women in a match factory fighting for better working conditions, but with Bernstein, love and gang relations become the spark that ignites.
