This programme explores some of the great works by Mozart & Haydn. ‘Sturm und Drang’ or ‘Storm and Stress’ was a proto-Romantic movement in German literature and music in the mid to late 18th century.It saw composers expressing the extremes of emotion within their compositions. Much like other artists of the period, both Mozart & Haydn wrote works that feel within this movements aesthetics.
