A rising vocal star and two-time JUNO Award winner, Montreal-based singer and songwriter Dominique Fils-Aimé performs two nights in the Joe Henderson Lab with music from her latest album, Our Roots Run Deep, which took the 2024 JUNO for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year. “What she does with her voice is absolutely incredible” (NPR).

Lage honors the legacy and enduring influence of piano icon Keith Jarrett with his current trio, plus a special guest pianist to-be-named soon. Lage acknowledged Jarrett’s fertile 1970s compositional period with a pair of tracks on his 2019 Mack Avenue trio date Love Hurts with Roeder and King, tackling Jarrett’s serpentine and ebullient “The Windup” from his 1974 ECM masterpiece Belonging and “Encore (A)” from the 1979 session Eyes of the Heart featuring the pianist’s vaunted American quartet. Lage keeps the flame burning for the sidelined Jarrett, whose performing career has now tragically come to an end.
