Music Director Carlos Izcaray opens the 2024/25 season with Shostakovich’s Festive Overture. Described by Shostakovich as “festive or celebrative in spirit,” It begins with a brass fanfare which later reappears. Amaryn Olmeda joins Maestro Izcaray and ASO for a performance of Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto.
