Music Director Jaap van Zweden conducts masterpieces by Haydn, father of the symphony, and Beethoven, who set the path to the Romantic era in his Third Piano Concerto; the formidable Yefim Bronfman is the soloist. The concert opens with the “marvelous array of colors” <em>(The Seattle Times)</em> of Hannah Kendall’s <em>Kanashibari.
