It is probably the best-known composition of Baroque music: the famous "Air" by Johann Sebastian Bach. As a slow movement, it is part of the Orchestral Suite No. 3, which Bach, like Suite No. 4, probably composed for the court music in Köthen. Bach evidently valued these compilations of festive overtures and dance movements so much that he traveled several times with copies of the suites in his luggage.
