Folk music in the Classical KUMUS

In classical music, composers have always been inspired by folk music. Themes and melodies from folk songs are interpreted by composers, special folk dances and rhythms form the basis of much classical music and inspiration from all over the world has been used extensively by the classical composers throughout the history of music.
