To kick off the season, FASO crosses the border from France to Bavaria. The Oktoberfest in Munich is a two-week festival from September to the first Sunday in October. The first Oktoberfest was on October 12, 1810 to celebrate the marriage of crown prince Ludwig of Bavaria. It lasted for 5 days and grew in length with passing time.
