“For this evening I have assembled a core band of friends that I grew up with (musically) and again I have selected songs I have always wanted to play. Billy Cobham has been one of my favorite drummers from the days of Mahavishnu to Spectrum and to Dreams, so I wanted to do one of his originals. Roy Hargrove was one of the younger bands that I did sound for the most at the Dakota, and I shared the stage with him a few times with Moore By Four. Other songs we will cover have similar stories behind them that I will share that night.”
