rebelSYMPHnoire, May 18 at The Lerner Theatre, features guest performer rebel noire and the accomplices—a local Eclectic Rock/Spoken Word ensemble that creates original songs exploring themes of power, resistance, and the complex textures of human love. The repertoire for this exciting season finale includes Ethel Smyth, Boatswain’s Mate Overture; Choi, Arirang Fantasy; Theofanidis, Rainbow Body; and works by rebel noir and the accomplices.
