Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes “has entered an elite circle of pianistic stardom. When he sits in front of the keyboard… extraordinary things happen” (New York Times). His first PCMS recital opens with works by fellow Norwegians Edvard Grieg and Geirr Tveitt and culminates in the elaborate and enigmatic emotional journey of Frédéric Chopin’s 24 Preludes.
