In the heart of Healdsburg, California, a series of captivating events hosted by 222 at The 222 venue invite the community to immerse themselves in the world of creativity. Spanning from September 2024 to June 2025, these events include Writers’ Space, showcasing a serene environment for writers to connect; a special appearance by internationally acclaimed author Alka Joshi; an Open Mic Narrative Night that promises to reveal hidden storytelling gems; and a performance by the talented Mc2 Duo. Join us as we delve into the artistic spirit that these gatherings kindle within all who attend.

Exploring Creativity at The 222: A Haven for Writers, Storytellers, and Musicians

A good storyteller can show us a whole world: a new version of our own or an otherworld offering a mirror for reflection. For this “open-mic” reading, we invite you to bring an original short story that can be read in ten minutes (or a ten-minute portion of a longer story that can stand alone). Eight readers will be able to sign up as they arrive; the moderator will hold each to the ten-minute limit. All are welcome to attend. Please indicate in your RSVP if you plan to share a story, and of what length.
