Exploring Life and Fairytales Onstage: A Season at DAS DA Theater

The goat family lives deep in the fairytale forest, in a house with seven rooms. As soon as their mother is away, the seven little goats turn everything upside down. The wild little goats don't even stop at their mother's beloved record player. But there is one thing they didn't expect, and it soon knocks on the door: the hungry wolf tries to lure the little goats out of their hiding place using various tricks. Will the fairytale end well? Bert is also wondering that, in his bookshop the Brothers Grimm story of the wolf and the seven little goats suddenly comes to life.

Keep your eyes open when running, as the hare and the hedgehog want to know one day which of them is faster. When the hare makes fun of the hedgehog's short legs, the hedgehog wants to prove to the long-eared one that short legs are also useful. The hare may be fast, but the hedgehog is clever, and so the race produces an unexpected winner.

“Hare & Hedgehog – keep your eyes open during the long run” combines puppet theatre with acting. With lively dialogues and rapid scene changes, Pierre Schäfer provides a child-friendly interpretation of Grimm’s fairy tales – and an entertaining afternoon of theatre. The play can be seen as a guest performance at DAS DA as part of the “Theater Starter” series.

Hase & Igel – Augen auf beim Dauerlauf

A small German town in the 1950s. A group of teenagers experience different highs and lows of life on their journey to adulthood: first love, problems with family, close friendships and how they break down, and their minds and bodies spiral out of control. Not everything ends well.

Spring Awakening

Former prizefighter Leo spends his days in a retirement home, dull and silent. He would much rather be with a friend in France, however. Leo's peace ends abruptly when 16-year-old Jojo turns up. The teenager has to serve his suspended sentence for stealing a moped in a retirement home. He only wanted to impress the leader of his gang, who mocks him in return. Just like in the ring, Leo and Jojo initially face each other like opponents.

The Heart of a Boxer

The quartet "Les Brünettes" presents "the female way of a cappella" at Christmas time in a witty and charming way. Immerse yourself in the musical cosmos of four personalities and voices, each of which is unique and at the same time complements each other wonderfully. Juliette Brousset, Stephanie Neigel, Julia Pellegrini and Lisa Herbolzheimer are distinctive artists and close
friends. They add their own touch to well-known Christmas classics as well as lesser-known songs from Germany, Ireland, France and Spain. With American Christmas swing and Joni Mitchell à la Les Brünettes, they get you in the mood for the contemplative days.

The time of the Nazis is over. Today the world is enlightened and safe. That's right, isn't it? In history class, a school class is discussing these and other questions when the Second World War is on the curriculum. The students agree that there can no longer be a dictatorship in Germany today. To prove how easily people can be seduced, manipulated and exploited, the teacher begins an experiment. The class is supposed to work together as a group through discipline and community. As #THEWELLE2024, the students delve deeper and deeper into the experiment. But then everything gets out of control.

A boy who can fly and fights for children: a great idea! 11-year-old Peter Pantoleit wants to be a hero like that. Then his father would definitely take him seriously. He works for the mean real estate company "P. Rath Immo" and throws families out of their homes to sell them as luxury apartments. Peter's girlfriend Lilly and her parents will soon be homeless too. Peter has to do something about it. But time is ticking!

The school festival comes at just the right time: Peter and his theater group want to open the eyes of adults. The school hall is suddenly transformed into the island of Neverland, which the evil Captain Hook wants to rule. But Peter Pan and the lost children do everything they can to ensure that good prevails - even outside of school!
