Taiwan Philharmonic

The Taiwan Philharmonic, also known as the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO), is Taiwan's premier orchestral ensemble. Founded in 1986, the orchestra prides itself on not only promoting Taiwanese music but also on performing Western classical works. The orchestra is headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, and regularly performs at the National Concert Hall, part of the National Theater and Concert Hall complex. Over the years, the Taiwan Philharmonic has collaborated with numerous internationally renowned conductors and soloists. It has toured globally, earning accolades for its performances in prestigious venues such as the Vienna Musikverein and Tokyo Opera City. Through its concerts and outreach programs, the Taiwan Philharmonic plays a significant role in enhancing the cultural life of Taiwan and gaining international recognition for Taiwanese classical music artists.
