BaggårdTeatret is one of the country's largest regional theatres measured by number of citizens. As the regional theatre for Svendborg, Faaborg-Midtfyn, Ærø and Langeland municipalities, we create performing arts performances, experiences, school theatre and education for the benefit of both citizens, tourists and visitors throughout South Funen. The theatre reaches out – not only in the archipelago – but in the world. We create locally rooted performing arts with an international outlook. With roots in a maritime town, we have for decades connected the local with the global. Svendborg has always been a fertile melting pot for maritime and artistic development, and BaggårdTeatret builds on this heritage.
