A surprising stage device, composed of eight monologues, for as many characters, which offer a powerful portrait of contemporary England and of the generations between 17 and 40 years old.

Periodo Refrattario , written and performed by Carmine Del Grosso , is a panoramic reading of the present that transcends the postmodernism of public opinion. In this show, the comedian addresses the sense of disorientation, existentialist complexity, an intimate gaze, and a misoneist vision that avoids dazzling the audience. The result is a brooding Carmine , replacing the scoundrel of the past, and a touch of sloppiness.

FROM A TO IN WITH UP TO BETWEEN SHAKESPEARE is the story of a love. Of Serena Sinigaglia's love for William Shakespeare. "The story of how Shakespeare and I first hated each other and then fell madly in love," explains the director. "The story of my youth and my profession. The story of how, at just twenty years old, I came to stage ROMEO AND JULIET and KING LEAR."

Of A From In With On For Between Shakespeare

Who am I? This is what Fausto De Stefani seems to be asking himself, without fear. The answer is easy: Fausto De Stefani is the second Italian mountaineer and sixth in the world to have climbed all fourteen eight-thousanders. But that would be the wrong answer. Fausto would never define himself that way. If anything, mountaineering has helped him and pushed him to ask the same question with greater intensity and precision: who am I? Fausto has always looked at the mountains as a means, never as an end. A means to understand the world and oneself. A human journey, long before an alpine one, crowned by his greatest achievement, perhaps the only one worthy of that name, his 15th eight-thousander: the construction of the Rarahil Memorial School, in Nepal's Kathmandu Valley.

Even Impossible Dreams

Jim Davidson and Mike Price are two friends. They are a climbing team. In 1992, they decided to climb Mount Rainier in Washington State, USA. It was a lifelong dream, a summit coveted by every climber, a must-see for anyone born in America who wants to call themselves a mountaineer. 'The Mountain,' as they call it in Seattle. But things are never as we expect, and that climb will be more than just the conquest of a summit. It will be a point of no return, an unexpected journey into the depths of their bond, a journey that will last far longer than the four days it took to reach the summit.

Another Everest

A young man returns to visit his mother on a rainy afternoon. Once inside, he finds the living room filled with boxes, scattered across the table, the floor, and the chairs. Among them, the woman moves around, continuing to talk. She's searching for an old newspaper article, read long ago and then saved, trying to remember the last words of a quote: "All that's left of my underwear is..." And she can't. As if her life were stuck there, waiting for the sentence to be completed.

Mothers

After the masterpieces DEATH OF A TRAVELING SALESMAN and ALL MY SONS, De Capitani's new Miller takes us to the heart of the Great Depression and the economic and existential crisis that hit America in 1929: AMERICAN CLOCK is a great choral fresco, a form of total theatre that the director sets, between Brecht and Fellini, in a circus-cabaret full of surprising contemporary reverberations.

The American Clock

A few years ago, we stumbled upon the incredible true story of mountaineers Joe Simpson and Simon Yates. It's the story of an ambitious dream: to be the first in the world to climb Siula Grande, attacked from the west face. But it's also the story of a friendship and of the rope that, during that terrible undertaking, bound these two young men.

Through a free-flowing conversation with Fiorenzo Grassi, the film develops a reflection on the theatrical revolution that, beginning in the late 1960s, proposed a systematic renewal in the way of making and conceiving theatrical performance: from shows conceived outside of traditional stages, to decentralization, to the opening of new spaces. A chapter of history that has not been sufficiently explored. Fiorenzo Grassi's words are interwoven with testimonies, memories, and archive footage.

The Theatre in the Body

In Nulla dies sine linea , Roberta Racis 's latest creation , whipcracking (the acrobatic cracking of an whip) becomes a sonic and symbolic gesture through which to interrogate the feminine. The whip , an instrument historically charged with images of power, control, and violence, is re-traversed by a female body that shifts its meaning: the gesture does not dominate, but listens; it does not impose, but measures. A writing for body , whip, and voice in which movement arises from an exploration of sound as choreographic material. Each crack carves the space, generates rhythm, opens pauses and silences. The body responds to these sonic traces with a dance of precision and fragility , alternating tension and abandon . The sound does not accompany the action: it guides it, interrupts it, challenges it. The feminine emerges as an embodied, complex, and unreconciled practice. Through repetition, effort, and risk, the solo constructs an intimate landscape in which the body becomes a source and a sounding board. The stage is thus transformed into a place of radical listening , where gesture and sound rewrite each other, opening up a space of possibility and transformation.

Nulla Dies Sine Linea

In his choreographic journey, Radouan Mriziga explores the relationship between body, knowledge, and landscape, intertwining artistic practices and cultural knowledge. Magec / the Desert explores vast and arid landscapes, revealing their wisdom and rethinking the relationship between humans and nature. From the Sahara to the steppes of Central Asia, the desert emerges as a place of reflection , where the smallness of humanity is revealed and myth, literature, and cultural knowledge take shape.

Magec / The Desert

In Cosmorama , Nicola Galli moves dance outside the theatrical space and opens it up to the landscape: the performance takes the form of a traveling journey through natural and outdoor contexts, guided by two bodies in action that activate a practice of exploration and mapping of the elements of reality . Movement thus becomes a perceptive tool, capable of reading and rewriting what we normally observe as background.

Nicola Galli 's " Diluvio" presents itself as a choreographic exploration of shipwreck as a condition of the present, in a time riven by profound fractures and fragile social bonds. The performance opens a space for exploration between rubble and possibility, questioning what remains and what can still be reconstructed in collective life.

The second edition of Dans(e) l'Atelier , the choreographic micro-residency project conceived by MILANoLTRE for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games , focuses on the dialogue between dance and sport. Three choreographers are invited to collaborate with three athletes, creating new creations that explore the sporting gesture as a choreographic medium and an opportunity for reflection on the body, identity, and the transformations of our time. On the first evening, two projects by Nicola Galli and Simona Bertozzi will be presented consecutively.

In The Dance & Sport Atelier

Among the most anticipated debuts, MILANoLTRE hosts the national premiere of Carnaval Vivaldi by the Balletto di Roma . Two choreographies, two distinct yet complementary perspectives, celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Apulian company Equilibrio Dinamico Dance Company . On one side, the energy of the renowned French artistic collective (La)Horde , on the other, the landscape and ritual dimension of Belgian multidisciplinary artist Jill Crovisier : two different ways of interrogating the contemporary body, between memory, community, and transformation. A single ticket grants access to two works that dialogue through contrast and resonance , composing a choreographic journey that traverses different aesthetics, territories, and imaginations.

In Tempest , a choreographic solo by Lisbeth Gruwez with sound design by Maarten Van Cauwenberghe , the dialogue between body and sound — a distinctive feature of Voetvolk 's work — gives shape to a reflection on anger as a primary, collective and transformative force.

Two choreographic creations, two distinct universes, one evening: Last Movement of Hope Chapter II: Organi by Adriano Bolognino with Körper – Centro Nazionale di Produzione della Danza , and Love Parade by Glenda Gheller with the ocram dance movement company , share the same stage space in a dialogue between languages and visions. A dual perspective on the body and its possibilities, between intimacy and relationship, memory and the present.

Ignazio is 35 years old, living in the shadow of his past and the frustration of his present. Unemployed, he takes refuge in slot machines, lives with his sister, and has long since stopped believing in God. Until one day, something happens. Upon returning home, he finds a baby, just a few months old, in a stroller in the entrance hall of his building. The baby slowly revitalizes him, and begins to give meaning to his life again. Ignazio begins to care for it, and finally begins to care for himself.

A child

A metaphor for the actor and the theater itself, Hamlet is suspended between duty and desire, representation and reality. Shakespeare's text becomes a critical device, a resistance to power, a fragile yet necessary space for collective thought. Marionettes and marionettes embody an ambiguous dimension, poised between death and immortality, between the animate body and the inert object. The color of mourning and wine, purple exists only in human perception, like theater. Luca Spanu's live music permeates the stage, interacting with the bodies and figures, constructing an emotional score capable of acting beneath the threshold of words.

Hamlet in purple

A place far from the world, a city adrift. Here, a young actor teaches theater—or something similar—in a middle school. It's his first day. He's silent, 23 kids in front of him. They're staring at him. He's about to speak, to explain why he's there. A boy raises his hand. "You're the one from the theater." The actor says yes. "Well, I'll never do theater. Because theater is old and it was invented by Mussolini... yes, the one who sucks his own dick."

Mine-Haha is a fictional memoir that traces Helene Engel's life from her earliest childhood to adolescence. Drawing on Wedekind's novel of the same name, the piece unfolds around the formation of a female body, emphasizing the relationship between gaze, body, and education. In an expository context, the body of the performer becomes the terrain for exploring the power relations between the viewer and the viewed, through the exploration of the role of the spectator.

Jean, an elderly man, wakes with a start in his home, surrounded by boxes and wrapped in cellophane. He's just had a nightmare in which strange images have rippled the placid surface of his dreams; but there's no time to indulge in reflection; there's a move to be completed. Jean procrastinates on closing the last package. There's still something to resolve before closing the door behind him for the last time. Jean, discovering a magical portal, is catapulted into his own past to a breaking point—the scene implodes, and there's no longer a boundary separating past and present. There's little left to do but surrender to what the unconscious proposes, until he discovers his other self, a woman, a memory, without whom it's impossible to return home and peacefully close the last package.

Souvenir

In Greek mythology, Atlas is a titan who bears the weight of the world on his shoulders. The characters question us about the burdens and dreams we carry, the fears and hopes that drive us, the balances—geopolitical, economic, emotional—that hold the present together. There's something frightening out there, an unknown to which we can give many faces (war, capitalism, global warming, etc.) that looms and crushes. Sometimes it's easier to think of abandoning ourselves to the weight of the present, letting go, and forgetting. The invitation is to keep resisting, to try to get up and look at the sun again.

Four solitudes intertwine. Ambra, a researcher and musician, has run out of money; Lucas lives on his father's money, but dreams of opening a startup, of becoming rich, of changing his life; Emma, a warehouse worker, is courted by Giorgio, the owner of the factory where she works. Everyone needs others, everyone is both seducer and seduced; everyone seeks salvation and change in others. But their dreams will be shattered by the icy forces of money and time.

The anger that I have in my body

It is said that the last memory to remain anchored in the mind, when everything else fades, are songs. More than a hundred voices of elderly men and women expose themselves and sing to us and tell us what they remember, of the war, of love, of their mothers, of where people used to dance, of where they used to escape, of how much everything has changed today, of how much perhaps remains unchanged. BumBumFritz recorded these memories, transcribed them, elaborated them, and intertwined them with electronic music. Ballavamo Sempre is not just an archive of important memories, collected on audio cassettes, listened to and danced to during the performance, but it is how these relate to the contemporary, how much they still concern us. How have we changed in the last hundred years? What are we still capable of remembering?

We were always dancing

Two young people without desire or purpose discuss how to change the world by drowning their days in music, alcohol, and cocaine. A tall wall of speakers and a DJ booth are the instruments of their destructive entertainment. The toxic cycle of their daily lives is interrupted by the arrival of a young woman who immediately upsets the fragile equilibrium of the house, triggering a dangerous vortex of events that will force them to face the most difficult choice of their lives.

Disoriented people

The Internet is brought into the world and begins to interact with humans. A streetlamp shade comes off in the wind and hits a twenty-two-year-old woman on the head. Her younger sister tries everything she can to contact a ghost. A white dog, unseen in a crosswalk, ends up under a car on New Year's Eve. That same night, another girl is determined to lose her virginity. One hundred and fifty people try to enter Zone 51, but there could have been two and a half million.

The Apocalypse or what remains of it

Saint Genesius is the patron saint of actors. An actor and mime in Rome around 300 AD, he converted to Christianity and performed an unexpected miracle on stage. Tortured and immediately killed, he is now a martyr.

Life of Saint Genesius

The libretto, Infinita Bellezza, fuels the illusion of control, revealing itself to be manipulative. On stage, bodies expose identities often reduced to gender or ethnic stereotypes. Can human judgment be limited to this? The project undermines cultural and linguistic biases: images, words, and bodies intertwine with the audience, continually redefining everyone's roles.

Balancing them is Emma, the judge charged with deciding who is right.

In his latest masterpiece, he asks us to "not bridge the distance, but discover closeness, not break the rules, but refract new rules."

The White Ray

In mountaineering, White Out defines the total loss of visibility when the uniform whiteness of a cloud cover meets snow-covered ground that absorbs and reflects all light, making it impossible to advance or retreat. Three performers on stage "ski" along a cinematic narrative that unfolds through flashbacks, dizzying acrobatics, and a powerful vision tinged with humor. A world suspended between reality and imagination, dance and contemporary circus, verticality and suspension in the void, balanced on the ridge between heaven and earth. White Out is an experience that immerses the audience's imagination, a tribute to all mountaineers who have disappeared or who risked disappearing into the endless whiteness of the heights: The Conquerors of the Useless.

White Out

Nine prison officers stage their ILIAD . The battlefield, however, is prison. And there is no omniscient fate directing the conflict. Here, Achaeans and Trojans find themselves living mixed together in the same place. Do we know the road we travel every day? And is today's road the same as yesterday's? The road of our Spartacus, a contemporary incarnation of the ancient fighter/slave, is not just any road, but the road of death, the SS 106 Jonica , which connects Reggio Calabria to Taranto. A road that becomes the pretext to talk about slavery, human encounters, landscapes, accidents, The Bold and the Beautiful, the Ionian Sea, struggle, and politics.

The audience chooses, and the verses are recited for them: an exclusive service that can be intimate, ironic, romantic, or provocative, depending on the inspiration of the moment and the resulting bond. An interactive game and an experience where the audience chooses what to "taste," a project to promote poetry as nourishment for the soul.

Topi weaves historical reconstruction and scenic invention to recount, twenty years later, the Genoa G8: one of the most serious wounds in recent Italian history. Through the interplay of metaphors, audio reconstructions, real testimonies, and fictional characters, he offers a variety of perspectives to try to make sense not only of what happened in those July days, but also of what continues to happen.

The Queen of the Night and Papageno disguised as a bird, the magician Sarastro and Princess Pamina: everyone knows the bizarre and unforgettable characters from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's The Magic Flute . But what would happen if all the singers canceled at the premiere of Mozart's The Magic Flute ? In A Little Magic Flute, the musicians of the Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Francesco Muraca are joined by Luigi Maio, a "musician-actor" and creator of the lyrics and music for this chamber Mozart parody. Luigi Maio plays the comical role of a certain Carl Ludwig Giesecke, a historical figure and contemporary of Amadeus and an actor who, at the Teatro Elfo Puccini, decides to stage a clandestine version of The Magic Flute . The audience flocks in large numbers, but when the curtain rises, the singers don't show up! Left alone on stage with an orchestra behind him, Giesecke will have to interpret, in a comical and virtuoso interaction with Maestro Francesco Muraca and the Filarmonica della Scala, all the revised and "incorrect" roles of Mozart's immortal fairy tale: from a Queen of the Night suffering from insomnia, to a Papageno allergic... to feathers, who sneezes in the middle of an aria!

A masterpiece of twentieth-century literature, ironic and fascinatingly complex, ZENO'S CONSCIENCE celebrated its centennial in 2023. Zeno speaks of us, of our fragility, of our deceptive conscience. Alessandro Haber explores this ineptitude, sometimes comparing the man to the actor, to emphasize "the originality of life."

Zeno's Conscience

A collective reading involving ordinary citizens. Together, we give voice and share what happens to people when they encounter illness, the profound meaning of this experience, the places of care, and the stories of those who inhabit them—as doctors, nurses, and patients—at a time when the right to health is beginning to erode.

Inspired by the life of Liliana Segre and tied to the theme of Memory that has always accompanied the Company, the show arises from a new sense of necessity due to the climate of hatred and violence we witness today. Through Liliana Segre's testimony, it proposes a memory that becomes concrete action, affecting everyone and everything around us.

I Remember

Chiara Pagliaccia is a stand-up comedian and CEO, as well as the sole employee, of the social project she created, Sagre d'Italia : she tours the markets and festivals of Italy, conducting interviews in which she collects the best expressions of the only generation she feels comfortable with: the elderly.

Chiara Pagliaccia

A show about the relationship between mothers and adolescent children, an all-female project born from encounters with mothers grappling with their children's adolescence, their stories, and their experiences. The show is part of the Parenting Trilogy, a project launched in 2015 that tells the stories of fathers and mothers to spark a reflection on the changes we are experiencing.

I Hate And I Love

The memoir of a great journalist, Curzio Maltese , looks back at his life and retraces its stages, taking us on a journey through the last sixty years of our country. Antonio Catania , accompanied on stage by Sergio Colicchio on piano, gives voice and body to a story that is both laughable and moving.

Sky Blue

The Elizabethan theatre seen from inside: a dressing room cluttered with costumes, wigs, mannequins, skulls, and swords. Mary, the Globe Theatre dressmaker who dreams of becoming an actress, recalls the Bard's successes.

Shakespeare at a snack

A song in verse and prose for electric bass and a man, also a bass. A conscious delirium that winks at Bukowski, Baudelaire, Piero Ciampi, Diego Armando Maradona, Jacques Brel, and all those poets who have made and continue to make poetry in their own way throughout their lives, even unconsciously, with the hope of redemption, both personal and collective. A search for poetry that is everywhere, even in the most 'base', minor, sometimes insignificant, and even dirty things. A one-man show, a spectacle of poetry slam , music, and narration , that looks to singer-songwriters, rock, and pure poetry, born of pain, love, or inspiration, written for pleasure or simple redemption.

Poems From Below

A heroin addict enters a rehabilitation center. He stays there for five years. During that time, he can't use the phone or the internet: only pen and paper. A dialogue of handwritten letters develops between him and the person he's writing to. Those written by the addict are preserved, while the others have been lost.

Tyrannosaur

The puppets of Emanuele Luzzati and Bruno Cereseto meet Mozart 's music on stage . A journey into fantasy where the charming characters of this tale will welcome young spectators into scenic situations that alternate comedy and fantasy, darkness and light, reason and emotion, masculine and feminine, among feathers, colorful rags, and enchanted forests.

The Tale Of The Magic Flute

A summer 2021 hit, this adaptation of Ian McEwan 's moving and brilliant novel . The protagonist is a fetus curled up in the womb, listening to voices and everything happening outside. Mother Trudy and her cynical Uncle Claude have a falling out and want to kill her father, a penniless poet. "Bonadei acts with body and voice, uses the microphone expressively, and is petulant and tender, like someone who already knows abandonment."

In the shell

"The only English writer of the late nineteenth century whom everyone read" was, in fact, Irish. Oscar Wilde is one of the most irreverent, studied, and beloved figures of the Victorian era: his work speaks to all generations, and his brilliant aphorisms are quoted, often unknowingly, by countless people.

An Ideal Husband

An electric-blue admiral attempts to save his ship, backed by a mob that stuns him with market obsessions: saving those close to you is no escape route for those who live by their own ideas. In any case, no one is to blame; there's just a vast divide in their way of being in the world. Between diverging visions, yet another expatriation unfolds, which isn't the migration of a people, but the inexorable estrangement from their own will. And they all experienced wrecks and portents.
