Hamilton is the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and helped shape the very foundations of the America we know today. Led by a member of the War Horse puppetry team, this workshop is designed to give participants a hands-on understanding of how to create characters through puppetry and physicality. The workshop will provide you with a taste of the devising process through which Joey and the other horses of the show are brought to life, and how the puppeteers respond to both one another and other actors on stage to conjure the animals at the heart of War Horse. Meet Alex, an out-of-work actor who finds himself working beneath Barbra Streisand’s Malibu home in her legendary basement shopping mall. A big hit in New York and London, Buyer & Cellar is an outrageous comedy about the price of fame, the cost of things, and the oddest of odd jobs.

Ten years after the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway production closed, this hilarious one-person show returns to London with the magnificent Rob Madge starring as Alex. Rob is best known for writing and starring in their hit show My Son’s a Queer (But What Can You Do?), which won the 2022 WhatsOnStage Award for Best Off-West End show and, following two West End runs, was nominated for a 2023 Laurence Olivier Award.

Through the workshops, you will explore the story of The Creakers, learning and staging a song from the brand-new musical. Children will improve their singing skills, try new performances techniques and explore dance & movement. All whilst making new friends, building confidence and having brilliant fun.

Led by professional theatre practitioners, our workshops are designed to be a safe space for 8-12 year olds to explore their creativity through music and performance. In a world teetering on the edge of debauchery and deceit, his only joy is his daughter, Gilda. Uninvited Guests stage an event that is somewhere between a wedding reception, a wake and a radio dedication show. In their signature performance style, they blur distinctions between theatre and social gatherings. Toasts are made, speeches given, songs sung and dances danced. They speak of their own and others’ loves – deep, passionate, ambivalent and unrequited – and play songs dedicated to them.

This much-loved show returns to celebrate Fuel’s 20th birthday. In over 200 performances since 2006, Love Letters Straight From Your Heart has seen laughter, tears, hundreds of party poppers, and at least one proposal of marriage. It has been performed at two weddings, in every corner of the UK including in the Welsh language, and online to audiences around the world from Australia to Mexico.

This autumn brings Sir Frederick Ashton’s La Fille mal gardée, the sunniest and funniest of ballets, back to the stage.

Lise has a choice to make. Loaded country bumpkin or penniless, hunky farmhand? Of course, there’s no contest, but her mum has other ideas. Heels are dug in and sparks fly, as a mother-daughter battle ensues.

Each session will incorporate a mix of technique, improvisation and creative provocations ending with time for dialogue and connection. The class is suited to professional dance artists as well as other creatives who want to delve into a new form. Led by Tom Jackson Greaves alongside other local professional movement artists.

Diagnosed with dyslexia at a young age, Aakash Odedra found school very challenging: he spelt his name wrongly until he was 21 and it wasn’t until he “found the missing ‘A’” that he felt he belonged.

Perception Gap is an African Diaspora performance that explores the psychological pressures faced by a refugee-outsider. This evolving work in progress is accompanied by European classical imagery (12th to 20th century) featuring a Black subject, with Ric White, a multi-instrumentalist and improviser, creating soundscapes using saxophone and flute while exploring live and electronic sound manipulation.
