Tenor and 2023-24 Kaufman Music Center Artist-in-Residence Nicholas Phan is hailed as “one of the world’s most remarkable singers” (Boston Globe), “one of the most beautiful young lyric voices around” (Opera News) and “an artist who must be heard” (NPR). He’ll join the “sonically delightful and expressively compelling” (The Strad) Jasper Strong Quartet and Grammy-nominated pianist Myra Huang for an evening of art song across eras and featuring the world premiere of Vivian Fung’s Songs for a New Generation.

Celebrating its 16th anniversary in 2022, the Jasper String Quartet is recognized as one of the leading American string quartets on the performance stage today. The ensemble won Chamber Music America’s prestigious Cleveland Quartet Award and The New York Times named their album “Unbound” as one of the 25 Best Classical Recordings of 2017. The Jasper String Quartet is the Professional Quartet-in-Residence at Temple University's Center for Gifted Young Musicians.
