The original national PBS show "Christmas with The Celts" aired on over 200 PBS channels across the U.S., Canada and on the BBC in Ireland for three years. This successful TV show was the initial spark that created a huge demand for the production, bringing them into performing arts centers, theaters, and large casinos every year. Guest Artist Dr. Kirill Gliadkovsky performs his Piano Recital on Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m. Since making his first public appearance in Moscow at the age of 6, Gliadkovsky has toured extensively on three continents performing piano and organ recitals and as a soloist with orchestras in various cities. He combines his busy concert schedule with teaching at Saddleback College as a professor of piano and director of keyboard studies.

The U.S. Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, “Official Escort to the President,” is a U.S. Army premier band permanently stationed at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, VA. Members perform using musical instruments and wear uniforms similar to those worn by military musicians of the Continental Army during the American Revolution. The Fife and Drum Corps performs ceremonies at official military and government events at the White House, Pentagon, Arlington National Cemetery, and Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall. The Fife and Drum Corps also supports the Army’s mission by traveling nationally and internationally to perform shows, parades, and special events.

Tuba, Euphonium, and Trombone Ensembles Recital

A Japanese solo trombonist active worldwide, Yu Tamaki Hoso is a chamber and orchestra musician, educator, entrepreneur, published author, and producer. Yu currently resides in Denmark and serves as an official artist for Pro Arte Musicae of Tokyo, S.E. Shires Company of Boston, and Willie's Custom Brass of Yamanashi, as well as Music Director of FukuTama Festival in Shimane.
