==Tippet Rise Art Center== Tippet Rise Art Center is a unique cultural institution located in Fishtail, Montana, against the stunning backdrop of the Beartooth Mountains. Encompassing a vast 12,500-acre working sheep and cattle ranch, Tippet Rise is situated roughly midway between Billings and Bozeman and just north of Yellowstone National Park. Founded by Cathy and Peter Halstead, who have been involved in art and education through their families for generations, Tippet Rise was inspired by a combination of their personal passions and various other cultural institutions. The art center is renowned for its annual summer concert season, which presents performances by internationally acclaimed musicians. These concerts take place both indoors and outdoors, as well as through virtual performances and other online events, typically running from June through September. In addition to its musical offerings, Tippet Rise features large-scale outdoor sculptures by some of the world’s leading artists and architects, seamlessly integrating art, music, and architecture with the majestic natural landscape. ===Founders=== Cathy and Peter Halstead have been companions since the age of 16 and later attended Columbia and NYU together. Cathy is an accomplished abstract painter with international exhibitions, while Peter is a multifaceted artist as a pianist, photographer, novelist, and poet. They have founded the Adrian Brinkerhoff Poetry Foundation, which aims to expand access to poetry through a rich collection of recitals and educational materials. The Halsteads have been involved in various philanthropic endeavors, including the Digital Lab at the Rockefeller Library at Brown University and serving on the boards of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors and Storm King Art Center. They are also trustees of the Sidney E. Frank Foundation, supporting numerous charities in the arts and education sectors. Their vision for Tippet Rise was influenced by other cultural landmarks such as Storm King Art Center, TICKON Sculpture Park in Denmark, la fondation Maeght in France, Snape Maltings in England, and the music festivals in Vail and Aspen. ===Team=== Tippet Rise boasts a dedicated team that includes artistic advisors, co-directors, a ranch manager, and specialists in communication, art education, artistic programs, digital experience, audio and technology systems, maintenance, and filmmaking.
