Nothing is working anymore: On their way to the coronation of Charles X of France, a group of aristocratic travelers from all over Europe find themselves stranded at a luxury hotel near Reims – chaos is inevitable. And so, love affairs, intrigues, jealousy, and the like soon erupt between all parties.

A young vixen is captured by a forester. On his farm, she grows into a strong and independent fox, inciting the hens to revolt and biting the rooster's throat. She escapes into the wilderness, drives the badger from his den, marries the fox, produces countless offspring, and is finally shot by a poacher.

The clever little fox

In her exotic, enchanted realm, Alcina is the sole ruler: she can seduce anything and anyone. Men she tires of, she transforms into mute objects. But for Ruggiero, she feels love for the first time – and also the fear of losing her beloved. When his fiancée, Bradamante, ventures into the enchanted realm to free Ruggiero, Alcina risks losing everything.
