Young energy and symphonic experience play side by side in a festive joint concert that is open to everyone.
Over the past few years, we have created a new and treasured tradition where once a year we are visited by and play a concert with students from Aarhus Music School.

Carl Nielsen's short but deeply moving orchestral work 'Ved en ung Kunstners Båre' (1910) was composed as a musical eulogy for the young painter Oluf Hartmann, son of the composer Emil Hartmann.

Mozart's masterful clarinet concerto is central to this concert and is flanked by music by two composers for whom Mozart was perhaps the greatest role model – Schubert and Carl Nielsen.

Experience the Nordic light in music when DUEN and visiting young musicians from the Nordic countries gather for a concert in Garnisonskirken. Under the direction of Morten Ryelund, we play works by Grieg, Sibelius and Carl Nielsen, among others.

Tutti the tiger has never learned to roar and must go on adventures in the jungle, in the mountains, over the steppes, under the waves and in the music to find his very own voice. Along the way, he meets a multitude of helpful – and less helpful – animals, each of whom gives their take on what it means to roar. But what advice should he follow? Is it the school roar of Teacher Lion, the jubilant roar of the football buffalo, the excited squeal of the mountain gorillas, or something else entirely that is right?

DUEN returns once again to Klassiske Dage, where for more than 10 years we have honored an annual recurring guest based at OrkesterEfterskolen. For this concert we play in collaboration with one of Denmark's leading folk musicians – violinist Harald Haugaard.

DUEN is looking forward to once again participating in the Classic Days festival - this year with the theme "Humour, play and laughter". As usual, we play two different concert programs at the festival. You can only experience the program for this concert once.

Carefree was Frederick the Great's castle in Potsdam, to which he could privately retreat - away from the power and splendor of the court in Berlin. Sanssouci is French and means carefree; in the language of the time: Carefree castle. One evening the old master JS Bach came to visit. Also, don't miss the Danish premiere of the brilliant, exuberant and life-affirming triple concerto by this year's festival composer, Olli Mustonen.

After the Schubert Society's general meeting, a joint meal and concert will be held, both for members and non-members. A small team of DUEN's musicians participate in this concert with accordionist Bjarke Mogensen, guitarist Allan Sjølin and violinist and ensemble leader Morten Ryelund as soloists.
