In an ice-cold attic in Paris, the poet Rodolfo, the painter Marcello, the philosopher Colline, and the musician Schaunard dream of fame, art, and love: poor in money, yet rich in ideals. A chance knock at the door changes everything: Mimì enters Rodolfo's life. A love ignites, full of passion and hope – but Mimì is terminally ill. It soon becomes clear that even the greatest love cannot defy life's adversities...

Melusine suffers under her narrow-minded husband and her mother’s inverted snobbery. The young woman finds an alternative world in a wild, overgrown park, in which Pythia, »Queen of the Willows«, rules. Pythia spurs Melusine into action when the park’s destined to make way for a castle. Given a fish tail, thereby making her irresistible, Melusine seduces lots of workmen, but can’t save the park. When the castle’s opened Melusine falls in love with the owner, the Graf von Lusignan. Pythia swears to avenge Melusine’s betrayal.

When the quack Dulcamara arrives in the village, Nemorino finds new hope: a love potion is supposed to turn his luck around! What worked for Tristan and Isolde can't hurt him after all. But the longed-for magic never appears. Desperately, he reaches for a double dose – as they say, more is better. And sure enough: suddenly, the entire village women are flocking to him! But is it really the potion that's to blame?

L'elisir d'amore

Salome lives at the decadent court of her mother Herodias and her stepfather Herod, surrounded by intrigue and moral decay. She projects her sensual and erotic desires onto the imprisoned, ascetic prophet Jochanaan – but when he rejects her in disgust, her obsession escalates to monstrous proportions. She demands Jochanaan's head from Herod on a silver platter, thereby sealing her own downfall...
