When Beethoven’s final piano concerto was premiered, it was hailed by the press as “without doubt one of the most original, imaginative, most effective but also one of the most difficult of concertos.” A longtime Pittsburgh favorite, Bronfman returns to perform this most beloved of the Beethoven concertos. Highlighting the program are works inspired by an eclectic variety of beloved fairy tales.
