At our Christmas concert, we tell Hans Christian Andersen's famous fairy tale "The Snow Queen" – accompanied by appropriate Scandinavian music by Grieg, Sibelius, and Carl Nielsen. It's the story of the children Gerda and Kay, who are one and the same. But in winter, Kay is kidnapped by the Snow Queen. Her icy kiss freezes his heart and makes him forget everything good and beautiful, including his friend Gerda. To save Kay, she sets off north. Sh...
