Orgon has everything: the beautiful family, money and power. When he lets the pious imposter, Tartuffe, into his life, deception, seduction and chaos enters too. But what is truth and what is fiction, and is this stranger the villain that he appears to be? John Donnelly’s ferocious version of Molière’s comic masterpiece looks at the lengths we go to find meaning.
