Steinway International Piano Series: Jonathan Biss
More details
Following Samson Tsoy in November, it’s Jonathan Biss’s turn to explore the secrets and wonders of Beethoven’s piano sonata Op.109. This masterly American pianist needs no introduction to Cardiff audiences, and today he’s paired three of Beethoven’s most original sonatas with modern classics by Saariaho and Tyshawn Sorey. A gripping programme, from an artist for whom music never stands still.
