The Sixth Symphony is one of Mahler's darkest and at the same time most powerful works. Known as the "Tragic," it unfurls its monumental sound world full of marching rhythms, nature scenes, and volcanic eruptions. Paavo Järvi and the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich take on this emotionally and technically demanding score as part of their acclaimed Mahler cycle.
