The Berliner Philharmoniker under Kirill Petrenko present Brahms’s monumental First Piano Concerto with outstanding Icelandic pianist Víkingur Ólafsson. We will then hear a cult orchestral work, Richard Strauss’s Also sprach Zarathustra, world famous for its use in Stanley Kubrick's film 2001: A Space Odyssey – and also played by the “Berliners” in the soundtrack.
