“Perfect intonation, style, and total involvement,” raved New York Concert Review upon experiencing the artistry of Sphinx Competition winner Sterling Elliott, who returns to the Madison Symphony for Richard Strauss’ sumptuous set of variations, Don Quixote. Guest conductor Carl St. Clair also leads Haydn’s joyous Symphony No. 88, and Pacific Coast composer Frank Ticheli’s serene setting of poet Sara Teasdale’s There Will Be Rest.
