The Two Cousins

At the heart of Carlo and Alberta's home in Trieste, or in the modest apartment of their cousin Alice, recently widowed, we encounter their aunt Teresina, her nurse Clelia, the endearing Telvi and the penniless painter Sereni. The characters, caught in their everyday lives between frustration and dreams, are accompanied by the smile of protection and self-mockery dear to the Italian author Italo SVEVO. The action takes place in Trieste, in 1920.
