Ruth Reinhardt, in her Philharmonic debut, leads the Orchestra in Dvořák’s Symphony No. 5. Kirill Gerstein joins for Thomas Adès’s piano concerto In Seven Days, a musical depiction of the Biblical creation myth, accompanied by film by Tal Rosner. The lively opener, by Polish composer Grażyna Bacewicz, stands in the tradition of rousing concert overtures.
