This special performance will feature the ensemble's largest group of strings to date, reimagining the sound of the official string band of the French court, known as The 24 Violins. The orchestra's distinctive sound, characterized by its unique distribution of parts across different sizes of viola and a heavier emphasis on melody and bass, will be brought to life through the music of Baroque composers Jean-Baptiste Lully, Georg Muffat, and Arcangelo Corelli.
