Star pianist Daniil Trifonov performs Robert Schumann’s rousing Piano Concerto, a Romantic masterpiece that uplifts and inspires. Lithuanian conductor Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla makes her NY Phil debut, opening with a piece for strings by her compatriot Raminta Šerkšnytė and closing with selections from Lemminkäinen Suite, Sibelius’s orchestral adaptation of Finnish folk tales.
