### Event Description: ASMF & Cambridge Summer Music Festival: Mozart's Requiem

Join the Academy of St Martin in the Fields and the Academy of English Voices for an unforgettable evening celebrating the genius of Mozart. This special event will feature star soloist Martin James Bartlett on the piano and will be conducted by Ben Johnson.

The program begins with Mozart's Symphony No.1 in E-Flat major, K16, composed when he was just eight years old. The evening continues with the Piano Concerto No.22 in E-Flat Major, K 482, notable for its lyrical passages and the innovative use of clarinets in the orchestra. The concerto's slow sections, particularly the Andante, were so well-received at its first performance in 1785 that they had to be repeated immediately.

The grand finale of the night will be Mozart's Requiem in D minor, K 626, his final and most profound masterpiece.
