Conductor Alondra de la Parra invites you to a jazzy classic, or classic jazz? The evening starts with Gabriela Ortiz's Téenek, a colorful fusion of Mexican tradition and contemporary classical music. Pianist Thomas Enhco, rooted in both jazz and classical music, then takes us into Ravel's world with the Piano Concerto in G major . Enhco explores the contrasts in Ravel's concerto and connects the worlds of the two composers.
