From 1708 to 1712, Georg Philipp Telemann initially expressed his art as concertmaster in the princely “Cammer-Music” of Eisenach, before soon afterwards developing his work as court conductor and “secretary”. Entrusted with the establishment of a court chapel in the residence of Johann Wilhelm of Saxony-Eisenach, he succeeded in bringing a small but extremely virtuoso ensemble to fruition.
