As the 20th century dawns, the Barrison Sisters enchant Europe with their bold dances and saucy songs. They awaken hidden fantasies within the bourgeoisie and challenge societal norms regarding gender and sexual morality. At the same time, their advocacy for women's emancipation enrages the conservative defenders of traditional values, resulting in a wake of rumours, lawsuits, jealousy and suicides.
