Islandske Hugi Gudmundssons ”The Gospel of Mary” har allerede gjort sig bemærket som et nutidigt musikalsk og tekstligt banebrydende oratorium for sinfonietta, kor og sopransolist. I 2023 blev værket udgivet på Dacapo Records, og vandt – foruden flere rosende internationale anmeldelser – Icelandic Music Awards’ ”Composition of the Year”.
