It’s back! After a successful debut last fall, The Concert Truck returns to Houston for more unforgettable music in the community. The extraordinary talents of Shepherd School of Music students are on full display aboard this 16-foot box truck that’s been converted into a fully functioning mobile concert hall, complete with lights, sound system, and piano. Each performance will last approximately one hour.

It’s back! After a successful debut last fall, The Concert Truck returns to Houston for more unforgettable music in the community. The extraordinary talents of Shepherd School of Music students are on full display aboard this 16-foot box truck that’s been converted into a fully functioning mobile concert hall, complete with lights, sound system, and piano. 


The Rodeo will host Community Day on March 6. The celebration includes buy-one-get-one rides and games in the Junction and community activations. Admission to the Rodeo is FREE until 12:00pm on Mar 6. Grounds tickets are $20 per adult and $10 per child after 12:00pm.

The Castalian Quartet is rapidly emerging as an exciting voice on the international chamber music scene. This young European ensemble, based in London, has swept competitions, including a 2016 award from the Banff International String Quartet Competition.

The three Schumann brothers have been playing together since their earliest childhood, joined by violist Veit Hertenstein to complete this German ensemble. The quartet has reached a stage where anything is possible, because it has dispensed with certainties.

The intense, vibrant Elias Quartet returns to the DACAMERA stage for one night only following their historic Beethoven string quartet cycle in 2022 – and this time they’re joined by a friend.  Artistic Director Sarah Rothenberg joins the quartet for Brahms’ majestic Piano Quintet, in which the composer’s own beloved instrument takes center stage. We kick off our celebration of composer Fanny Mendelssohn with her rhapsodic Quartet in E-flat Major, one of the first surviving string quartets by a woman. Stravinsky’s rarely-performed miniatures, Three Pieces for String Quartet, open the program.
