Often called The Queen of Bluegrass, Rhonda Vincent is the master of guitar, fiddle and mandolin. She grew up in a musical family, in fact, her younger brother is a member of the award-winning bluegrass band Dailey & Vincent. A multi-Grammy winner and recent inductee into the Grand Ole Opry, Rhonda tours the country with her band The Rage. Her most recent album, Music is What I See, made it to the top of the charts when it was released in 2021. Don’t miss the chance to witness the living legend herself, Rhonda Vincent, as she continues to leave her indelible mark on the world of bluegrass music!

Ottmar Liebert’s global success can be attributed to a myriad of things – his creative vision, his determination, and a strong sense of melody. Born in Cologne, Germany, he began playing guitar at 11. Before the age of 19, Liebert had intended to stay in Germany and pursue a career as a designer and photographer. However, while journeying extensively through Asia and playing with other travelers and local musicians, he realised that he could not escape a life of music. After pursuing his dreams of playing rock music in Boston, he settled in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Santa Fe was a fresh start for Liebert in many ways and in addition to returning to the acoustic guitar, he remained open to letting the place define the music he made. It was this openness to the local landscape that defined what was to become his musical style, a mix of Spanish, Mexican and World elements, strong melodies tinged with a shade of melancholy, balanced with upbeat rhythms.

Beckmann’s 2022 album Faded Memories, featuring the slow-burn single “Bourbon Whiskey” and the haunting “In The Dark” garnered praise from the press including American Songwriter, CMT, and more. “Damn This Heart Of Mine” and “Tennessee Drinkin'”, the two singles from his 2023 follow-up album “Here’s To You. Here’s To Me.” were consecutive #1 songs at Texas Regional Radio Chart and amassed even more accolades from including Saving Country Music, Whiskey Riff and Billboard. He has amassed an incredible fanbase, independently garnering more than 670,000 followers on TikTok and over 16 million streams. He has spent the last year year supporting acts like Parker McCollum, Randy Rogers Band, and Wade Bowen on tour as well as selling out his own headline shows including five at legendary Gruene Hall in New Braunfels.

Local musician Brett Cline is the master of so many instruments, there is not enough space to list them all here. Primarily known as a master piano player, Brett has performed several amazing sold-out shows at the Brauntex Theatre. His tributes to Billy Joel and Paul Simon were legendary and remain two of the best concerts to ever grace our stage. We are excited to announce that Brett is bringing his usual high-quality performance for an all-star tribute to the music of singer songwriter James Taylor.

Brett Cline – James Taylor Tribute

Texas country artist Tracy Byrd is part of a long list of singers hailing from the east Texas city of Beaumont. George Jones, Mark Chesnutt, Tracy Lawrence and Clay Walker all got their start in this east Texas city. Signed to MCA Nashville Records in 1992, Byrd broke through on the country music scene that year with his 1993 single “Holdin’ Heaven”, which reached Number One on Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart. His second album, No Ordinary Man, came out in 1994 and sold over 2 million copies. “Watermelon Crawl” and “Keeper of the Stars” were two of the biggest hits from this album. Byrd’s biggest hits came out in the 1990s, and that decade is having a massive resurgence with country music fans across America. We are very excited to welcome Tracy to the Brauntex Theatre for his debut appearance on our stage.

Tracy Byrd

The son of a Pentecostal preacher, he was a champion prizefighter in the 1980s who fought Roberto Duran, a professional skydiver, and a factory worker. Since releasing 1997’s Hammer & Nail for A&M, Thorn has balanced blues, rock, gospel, country, and soul in a singular strain of Americana with songs that embrace the human condition with their humor, irony, pathos, tenderness, heartbreak, grief, anger, and joy.

Paul Thorn

As a teenager, he listened to a wide range of musicians, from southern rockers like Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Black Crowes, classic craftsmen like James Taylor and Johnny Cash, and ’90s country stars like Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson. Like many young men do in the working-class South, he started working construction jobs during the day and honing his musical chops at night. John started writing original songs but admits his first attempts were not very good. He moved to Nashville in his early 20’s to pursue a full-time music career. Through hard work and some lucky breaks, he has become an accomplished songwriter. Randy Houser and Hootie & the Blowfish both had chart-topping hits with songs written by King. He also released an album in 2021 titled Always Gonna Be You that contains all original songs. King, along with his ace band of musicians, are touring constantly, playing over 150 shows a year and building a loyal fan base one fan at a time. This young traditional country artist is making a name for himself in Nashville as a rising star and we are excited to introduce him to our Brauntex patrons.
