Three of Denmark's most prominent young musicians – violinist Anna Agafia Egholm , cellist Jonathan Swensen and pianist Gustav Piekut – unite their international experience and deep artistic commitment in the newly founded ensemble, Trio Theros.

Two of the most romantic artistic souls are on the program when the young Danish pianist Gustav Piekut again visits the Odense Symphony Orchestra. This time we will hear his nimble fingers in Chopin's romantic masterpiece, the endlessly sonorous 2nd Piano Concerto in an evening that also offers Schumann's brave 4th Symphony, which in many ways set new standards for the symphony as an art form, as well as a powerful overture of the unfairly forgotten Polish composer Grażyna Bacewicz.

The Danish master conductor Thomas Dausgaard leads in one of Tchaikovsky's absolutely most popular symphonies on an evening where we also get a visit from the pianist Gustav Piekut – one of the great Danish soloist hopes of the young generation.

Treble tones

These are set against Sally Beamish's fourth string quartet from 2019, which was directly inspired by Robert Schumann's first string quartet, and Robert and Clara's relationship.
