Van Cliburn Competition winner Haochen Zhang performs Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2, beloved from beginning to end, especially for its instantly recognizable second movement. Tugan Sokhiev also conducts Prokofiev’s most popular symphony, which the composer called “a hymn to free and happy Man,” and Lili Boulanger’s exquisite, Impressionistic miniature.
