Great things come in small packages! The prelude and fugue is a musical form as old as Bach – a concentrated work-out for mind, heart and (of course) fingers. Shostakovich was never more playful – or profound – than in his Preludes and Fugues for solo piano, and today RWCMD artist-in-association Llŷr Williams completes his personal adventure through all 24 of these jewels of 20th century piano music.
